Yurina Souc is a former professional Principal dancer, with many renowned Ballet Companies. 

 

At the age of 11, Yurina won the Encouragement Award at the Saitama National Dance Competition and was also selected for the Tokyo Shimbun National Dance Competition.

In 2001, she received a scholarship from the London Studio Center in the UK to study abroad, where she graduated in 2003, and obtained the Best Student Award.

Yurina Joined the Peter Schaufuss Ballet in 2003. 

She then joined the the Zurich Ballet Company as a half soloist and later the Vitor Ullate Ballet in madrid, Spain.

She finally started as a Principal dancer, at the National Ballet of Portugal.

During her career, Yurina danced the leading roles in several ballets such as: Swan Lake, Giselle,Sleeping Beauty, Serenade and many more...while also performing in many modern and neoclassical pieces.

She also performed with internationally acclaimed artists, such as Steven Mcrae from the Royal Ballet in London, UK.

As a teacher, she gave classes all over the world: in Japan, Spain, Portugal and Germany.

In 2020, Yurina decided to open the Tachikawa Ballet Studio -N- with her husband Kilian Souc.

Killian Souc is a former professional dancer of the National Ballet of Portugal, born in Dusseldorf, Germany. He is Half French and quarter German and British.

Kilian Souc started ballet at the age of 14 at his parents' ballet school in Germany.

From 2007 to 2011, he studied at the Conservatoire National Superieur de musique et de danse de Paris, where he completed his studies, obtaining the first price with honors.

In 2011, he joined the Zurich Ballet Company.

Among his roles he danced Fritz in "The Nutcracker" (choreography: Heinz Spoerli).

Other repertoire: "Midsummer's Dream", "Ware heute morgen und gestern jetzt", "Till Eulenspiegel" (choreography: Heinz Spoerli), and more.

In 2012, he joined the National Ballet of Portugal.

He preformed roles such as “Sleeping Beauty” Bluebird (choreography: Ted Brandsen), “La Bayadere” Golden Idol (choreography: Fernando Duarte), “Swan Lake” Pas de Trois (choreography: Fernando Duarte), “Cinderella”  The Prince's Friend (Choreography: Michael Corder) and "Giselle" Pas de Six (Choreography: Georges Garcia).

Other main repertoire:

“5 Tangos” (choreography: Hans van Manen), “Itomoi” (choreography: Akram Khan), “Minus 16” (choreography: Ohad Naharin), “The Nutcracker” (choreography: Fernando Duarte), “Serenade” (choreography: George Balanchine) and "Romeo and Juliet'' (choreography: Rui Horta).

In 2018, he returned to Germany and began teaching at his former ballet school.

In 2020, Kilian decided to open the Tachikawa Ballet Studio -N- with his wife Yurina Souc.
